If you could play for any band...

If you could play for any one band, which one would it be?

For me it would have to be U2, just because it would be great to just chill and play with Bono. Also they have a really longstanding reputation in the US and overseas so it would just be a great experience, maybe a bit overwhelming even.

I'd like to have some kind of 2-drummer thing going with Bill Bruford. Something with some crazy doomy/prog riffing and odd time signatures.

The Mountain Goats!! Granted, their drum stuff isn't very complex, particularly because the whole band consisted of one guitar player and some studio people for a couple of years, and the main guy just didn't write great drum stuff. But they're my absolute favorite band and I love their songs, so it would be a huge thrill for me. Plus, since I know a lot of other instruments, I could easily add to the ensemble . . . .

I would like to try and play in some hardcore band, its not vary challenging so I would also keep playing in my band, but it would be fun because the drums are pretty easy and the crowd gets really hype and it always looks like band is having a lot of fun

I would have to say Metallica, I have been huge fans of theirs for years and I would love to just jam out like master of puppets or the four horse men or almost any of their old stuff with them. Ive played in several bands that played their music but it would be great to play with them, as long as they brought back jason on bass.

You think you could match up to Lars in the things he played? Or at least try to replicate the things he did. Won't be easy...

no it wouldnt be easy but I can play a lot of there music really well but there is times when I cant match his speed or even come close to it. but I can do really good with a lot of their songs and I think it is because I have played them so many times.

jazz would be cool, anything experimental and kind of odd would be lovely

It's a tough one but I'd have to say System Of A Down.

They've got an awesome sound, challenging, yet funky beats and a loyal and insane fan base.
