Re: How do I adjust my double bass pedal?

It is too bad that the link doesn't go more in depth though.
I would like to see comparisons on what tension the springs are rated
for with the different brands... etc.

Looking at the speedking makes me miss it. That was my first bass drum pedal. I have never
had a better drum pedal. It is the only pedal that made me consider actually having two bass drums with speedkings as single pedals.

Id rather have two bass drums because at least I can tune everything seperately and equally. And theres no lag between slave pedal.

But then you have more stuff to carry round I used to really...really want a double bass set, but now, I think I've changed views and actually like one bass with a double pedal actually. Finally got my pedal as close to equal as I'm thinkin I'll be able to today too

Actually I prefer my slave little bit looser than my primary and my slave beater is one inch nearer to the head than the primary beater. It act as a counter balance of response time of the slave pedal.

Re: How do I adjust my double bass pedal?

haah, I'm forgetting heel toe. When I roll on bass and am able to keep it steady...yea, no need for heel toe, I do it sometimes...but it's moe like I kick with my heel or somethin. Other thing I do is keep my hats closed on the left and still keep my toes/that [part of my foot on the bass pedal...ssuch an awkward movement/position.

Re: How do I adjust my double bass pedal?

Springs are made of a unique product called "Spring Steel". Bottom line-- Their Springs.
If you live long enough to wear them out, you can buy another set of springs for a massive amount of money-$5.00. To adjust the angle of your beater, you should be able to loosen a nut where the spring connects to the top shaft.
1. loosen the nut.
2. Rotate the beater back to where you want it.
3 Re-tighten nut
4.play amazingle better
