The band RUSH

First off, Neil Peart is one of the most talented drummers out there. Are any of you fans of RUSH? They are coming out with a two set dvd edition called RUSH-R30 on November 22nd which includes a concert they did in Germany in 2004 to celebrate their 30th anniversary as a band, and also includes extra footage of the bands work and interviews they have done. I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this dvd from a good friend that works at umvd and its a great dvd with high quality sound and video as well. It was filmed with high definition cameras. Heres an article I found about the new RUSH dvd: http://www.noblepr.co.uk/Press_Relea...y/rush_r30.htm
What are your opinions on RUSH?

I am a huge rush fan as well and I will try to pick up that DVD.
One other thing is that neal peart is making a new DVD that shows a lot of his drum solos that hes done over the years and also how to make a solo from scratch but there is still no word on when it is going to be put on sell.

I wonder if he's gonna show us his licks with his "other" kit. Neil plays the Roland td-20s e-kit. I just recently purchased a TD-20s. It rocks. Highly reccomend it. BTW, when you're ready to pull the trigger check out www.rmcaudio.com/. Great service, incredible price, and just all-around good people. Let's hope he does play it on the video.

I LOVE Rush!!! I think rock drummers around the world owe so much to Neil "The Professor" Peart. I'm so glad they are still out there!! I've bought the R30 DVD and it is awesome. The sound is much better than the Rush in Rio DVD. Also, I don't know if you were aware that 2 days ago a double DVD came out witch is called ANATOMY OF A DRUM SOLO by Neil Peart. Neil will analyse some of his past drum solos.
