in search of


hey drummers. would like some feedback on which drums you think is the better of these four. pdp x7, pdp m5, mapex meridian maple or gretsch catalina maple. reason for asking going to buy one of these in july. of course i'm going to go and check them out in person and then make a decision. but maybe you own one of these kits, so would like your opinion, good or bad.

My preference would be the Gretsch Catalina kit.

But then again it depends on the genre of music.

I mostly play Rock and Jazz or as some would put it, RockAzz.

It really willmcome come down to what you like instore. Be shore to take a key to tune them up and bang em till ya know what's good for ya.

thanks skinslapper. did just that. liked the sound of the yamaha stage custom. nice round tone. no weird overtones either. got a good deal 600.00 for the shell pack. no tax and free shipping!
