Re: Newbe

Welcome to DSC Topsy. Nice drum kit you've got. I'm also retired from working.

Classic rock, Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz, Funk and so on are some of my riffs playing between work and gigs here and there.

Today I play on a Gretsch Custom kit and Zildjians all around.

So look aroung around and hve fun here on the forum.

Happy Drumming.

Re: Newbe

The gretsch is a nice kit. I am presently using yamaha stage custom birch drums and K zildians. I am currently playing in a latin band. Before that I was playing classic rock. I would like to try and get into sometype of jazz playing, but it's not so easy because jazz is not as popular in the bar scene as classic rock.

Jazz is a 3 and 5 count rudiment. It's like being ambedextrious.
