Thanks for the tips! The spray thinner sounds like such a reasonable approach and I have never heard it before. Mike, I checked out your website and loved what I saw. Do you ship to Canada or have any Canadian distributors? It'll take me another year or so to save money for a new kit but I think your stave drums might be the way to go!

Paint thinner is a wonderful tool . I don't have any distributors in Canada or the U.S. for that matter. I tried it a few times with different stores and such but they are greedy and want me to sell them a 500.00 snare drum for 100.00 so they can turn around and mark it up to 1000.00 . I am pretty much on my own as far as selling these drums go. But when you deal with me you will get a realistic, fair price , and the best sounding drums available.
And, yes I do and have shipped several drums to Canada.
