Nervous ticks

Some drummers' nervous ticks are distracting. For example, I'm not crazy about the constipated facial expressions that Paul McCartney's drummer makes. That's probably not nerves, just showmanship, but you know what I mean. Some drummers make weird facial expressions when they play, without thinking about it. I think I do some Stevie Wonder head movements when I play. Do you have any ticks and do they cause you any concern?

"Aspergers" has the trait to do "repetition in actions", of all the traits I have one is that I practice my blast beats. I use my repetition to develop my memory in my hand.

Re: Nervous ticks

As long as it's not your sh#t list I'm okay. Do you have any odd ticks when you play, Jim?

Re: Nervous ticks

Ha, ha. Good one. My first beer as a gigging teenager scared me because I couldn't move my fingers afterwards, so I endured countless gigs completely sober when a light fog might have been better!
