Has anyone "Customized" their own cymbal?

Has anyone done anything outrageous to a cymbal? Cut it down? or anything else? I have a cymbal that I would like to try and experiment with but not sure how to go about it. Thanks, Larry

Back in the day I have drilled holes and added rivets to cymbals to make sizzlers but that is the most extreme thing I have ever done.

Thanks Der, I think I may do that. It is a ride cymbal.

Yes, about 1,100 of them. Cut outs, holes, slots, star shapes I have made Batman cymbals, Skull shaped cymbals a Sasquatch and matching big feet.
Can't figure out how to load pictures here from my computer.

You need to set up a photobucket account and post the direct link here using the url radial button above the reply window.

I would love to see pics of what you have done.

Is that the only way? I went to the "Manage Attachments" Option chose files withion the size limit specified but I keep getting a failure notice. Am I doing something wrong, are my settings incorrect or does this option just not work?

The admin was playing with it some time ago because it didn't work properly and I assume because you are having trouble with it, it is not working still.

So in short, I believe that is the only way at this point. You could email them to me and I can post them if you want. (dertrommler@comcast.net)

Those are some extremely well done cymbals. I've got two rides that need rivet's, Der, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Sending you a message... Adruml, those are really great looking, keep up the great work!! Thanks for Sharing as well!!
