Acoustic to electronic conversion


my old Ludwigs mid 60's to an electronic drilling no holes. They are over 50 years old and I want to keep them absolutely original with o holes. However I want to trigger them with either my current Roland td 30 module or a 2 box . Anybody have experience with truss triggers called drum tec DDT's

There are triggers you can use that go right on top of the head and attach to the rim. They require NO drilling into your Vintage shells. I don't use triggers but I'm sure that they are readily available and acquirable. Don't drill those shells if you can avoid it...

Yeah I know about them, I found some more sophisticated ones from 682 drums.com, quartz percussion.com, and ddttriggers.com I want good ones and they are all going to be dual zones as well, thanks though, I appreciate the help always!

Sounds like you're more knowledgeable than me on triggers! Sounds good, thanks for the info, now I can go take a look. Please keep us posted on your progress and what you end up doing and if you will, how you do it. Looking forward to some pictures at some point.
