Talking Hi

Hi,
My name is chuck and I have been playing for about sixteen years. I have a degree in percussion and am currently a band director and percussion instructor for a high school. I have joined drumset connect for two reasons. 1. To gain some information from people that have actually experimented with equipment before I buy it. 2. hopefully I will have some knowledge that I could use to help others in their percussion progression.
I am primarily a rudimental and concert percussionist but I love playing so heavy metal and funk fusion on the drum set.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions if you have any about mixing some rudimental into your drum set skills.

Re: Hi

Hey Chuck, Welcome; good to have you here! My music teacher in H/S was Art Schmersal (who happened to be the Band Director for the Baltimore Colts Marching Band). He was my guy in H/S and was one a major influences in my drumming. Just a great guy that I know I helped make some of his hair gray. Don't hesitate to start a thread or many, to see if you can glean any info from the folks here. This is a very diverse group that is more than open to providing input anywhere they see an opportunity to do so.

Good to have you here!
