Re: New Kit...
Not in physical therapy any longer though I do lift weights daily. Not in ANY pain, but since I had the slap-tear repair, the configuration of my upper arm muscles in my right arm has been changed. With a slap-tear, they have to detach the long head of the bicep (due to the tear that is down in the joint) and re-attach that long head of the bicep under the Pectoral muscle in the right chest-this is the main method for repair as a tear down in the joint can not be resolved). The longhead of the bicep is then re-attached to the bone under the Pec, using 2 Ti screws. This 'reconfiguration' results in muscle groups needing to learn new routes and methods.
So for now the gist; I am able to play well for several songs before I begin to have muscle spasms and cramping. I am working through it but it is slow going, getting your bicep 'reconfigured' to work in a different method as it's muscle structure has changed.
