Thumbs up mini Tempo REF

I just got this nifty little gadget in the mail, and I must say that it works wonders when I'm playing with the band. I think it's actually more of a confidence booster, just knowing that you're playing in the pocket and you're at exactly the right tempo.

For people who don't know, this "tempo-meter" is basically a speedometer for the drums. You place it on the snare (or bass) using velcro and the trigger inside of it detects how many beats per minute you're playing at. Of course, you shouldn't really rely on it too much, but it's good to prevent arguments with other band members and such.

Their website isn't exactly professional and their products aren't mass produced to perfection, but I think the idea behind it is simply novel. There's also a bigger version of it which includes a metronome and other little features as well. Anyone else have any experiences with "tempo-meters" in their playing?
