I would have to say flam taps and flam accents.
they feel great to play espcially up to speed.

definitely the flam combined with some paradiddles... there's just so much you can do with that... the combinations are endless really and restricted only by your imagination

I would have to say my other ones are ruffs and parriddles
and if you can put all 3 of those together you have sick sounding sh*t

u know... if you think about it, rudiments are simply single strokes and double strokes combined together at different speeds... i don't know enough of them to really tell but I like the paradiddle as well.... what ia a ruff?

A ruff (or drag, as it is more commonly known), is very similar to a flam. But instead of one grace note followed by the main note. I could probably decribe it as a triplet played at a fast temo, and the first two notes are ghosted, and the last one is accented.

Re: Favorite Rudiments

Fast swiss triplets sound amazing: triplets with sticking RRL, but you flam the first R. Or you can do them LLR and you flam the first L. You just go really fast with the same sticking; you don't alternate stickings like you would with other rudiments. It's *****in' when you keep one hand on the snare and move the other around the toms.

I always liked swiss triplets, but I think I'm a paradiddle guy now. That or doubles.
