drumming barefoot

I just love to play the drums barefoot. It gives me excellent feel when I play and I like to use my toes on the pedal. When I put shoes on I just feel a lot more restricted and I'm not as fluid playing the bass pedal. Anyone else with me here? I get a lot of crap from people when I take off my shoes when I play.. maybe I should get some odor eaters

sorry man I like wearing some nice tennis shoes.. playing barefoot leaves bruises on my feet. especially on the heel and ball of my foot. I can really pound away with some rubber insoles

full metal is on a distinguished road
I think a lot of that really depends on how you play as for me I think I play a little better bare foot.
I am also guessing that you are a heel up type player as well.

I think the best thing for you to do is get a pair of very light and flexable shoes that you dont normally where every day or somthing close to it.
when I cant play bare foot I have adidas samba shoes or even the old converse one star canvis shoes are good for this as well.
but if you want the best shoe for this it would be a dancing shoe but I dont know who makes them or where to get them.
just passing on some advice.

those lightweight trendy PUMA shoes that kind of look like water shoes are great for drumming
