So how good are you?

I'm curious to know how good the Drumset Connect crowd is at playing the drums. You all are pretty knowledgable people and I just want to know how that translates into skills.

So, be honest. There's really no point if everyone just lies about things. Plus, I'll keep the poll anonymous to protect your integrity.

That was a hard call, between the 'intermediate' levels. I did not give myself the benefit of the doubt, even tho a seasoned drummer friend of mine insists that I'm doing better than I think.

I think I am pretty good but I know that here is still a lot to be mastered before I would say that I was at a higher level.

As my one time drum teacher who was a great snare player always told us is that no matter how good you get there is always someone better.

Yeah I think that's a good quote. I think it's best to compete with yourself and really challenge yourself. You should only look to others for motivation, not to compare yourself.

Yeah it's great that you're the star pupil but there is always room for improvement. Aim higher - try to be better than the teacher.

Even Bozzio says he's still a student.

We're all students really. There's so much out there to learn that you wouldn't be able to master everything even if you practiced 24/7 for the rest of your life. There's always more you can learn and perfect.
