Hello from Newfoundland :D

Hello.
I am Blake. I am 14 years old. I have been playing drums for about 4 years. I bought an old Westburry off my friend for $250.00 when i first started. I know that its not a good set..but I was frantic to buy a new one. I regret my actions now.. I have enough money for a good drum set now, but im still looking around for one that I would like. I look forward to talking and meeting with you all.

Thanks!

Hey, what ever plays, i started off with a groove percution kit, it had good pedals(groove percution is not my brand), now im playing a differint kit but same pedals and I have to get rid of it,lol. relly wht im here to say we are a diverse groupe of musicians who can usaly understand each other, and its not cymbals, drums, or years of experince, or religion that should be compared(or any thing els in that case) about any one in this forum. thats why i respect every one here.

My first kit was a powerbeat 4 piece. It was so flimsay that when you took the skins off you could dribble the bass drum on the floor like a basket-ball. My pedal fell apart in two weeks and my hi-hats would turn themselves inside-out if you looked at them funny.

The pearl forum is a great begginer kit. The pearl vision series looks pretty good value for money. Shop around, try everything out and thanx for joining up.

Thanks, skinslapper Everyone seems very friendly around these forums, im going to stick around here for a while.
Oh man, im pretty sad. I was cleaning up my drums about 3 hours ago, getting ready because people were coming to look to buy my set. I opened my highhat and all of a sudden, ..everything fell apart! I told the family, and they said they might be back within the next 20 mins, and they never came back.im not going to buy another highhat until im going to get my new set.
Oh and thanks for the nice reply
Oh i never posted the brand names of my drums. Everything is pretty much Powerbeat. I've never heard of the name..

Yeah I know. I just have one more question. I was looking at a Taye Gokit, but I dont really need it because its basically for people on the move. My budget for a complete set is mabye $2000.00 (CDN) or a bit more. Im also looking to get a double kick with it, if my budget allows it. Can someone tell me which set would be really good for that price range please?
Any help would be much appreciated.
