You’re thinking you have all of these great drumming ideas in your mind and all you need to do is go out there and execute. You pick up your...

Re: Increasing Left Hand Speed

This might sound wierd but do everything left handed. If your picking up the remote do it with your left hand. If your getting out of the shower get out with your left foot first. If your driving, eating, or even brushig your teeth, use your left hand. This wont neccisarily make your hand faster but will make it more "natural" if you know what I mean

Re: Blackberry

I get it.............increasing your left hand speed and strength is a lot like unlocking your mobile phone. What an analogy.............you must be one of those creative thinkers because I never would have ever thought of it that way. Good show. Your analogy really drives this entire point home. Enough said!

Re: Blackberry Unlocking

O.K. now it seems like you're just some kind of a virus that the mediator needs to block from posting. Maybe your explanation has nothing to do with building left hand strength. I see that now.

Ohhhhhh MEDIATOR.......................BE DONE WITH THIS DOLT WILL YOU?

Re: Increasing Left Hand Speed

It really didn't take you that long..............he only got away with two spam posts as far as I know. It's great to know that you're here though. Stupid folks like Blackberry need to smarten up as to the appropriate places in which their posts belong. Otherwise, all they do is make mad the very people their trying to seduce. Not good practice when you're trying to promote a product.

Re: Increasing Left Hand Speed

Well, I don't really agree with weights or heavier sticks on the left hand... Muscles remember each procedure and with extra weight in one hand, the movement will not be the same and the hands won't have analogy in aspects such as the strength of every hit. I 've also heard from some professional drummers that practicing with iron sticks isn't beneficial either...

Great tips here. I guess the biggest thing for all the younger folks out there is that this takes TIME. Nothing teaches patience better than working on something consistently and methodically, eh?

If you hit hard enough, you'll break your middle finger.
