Re: good songs to play to?

some Simple Plan songs are great and easy to play

I like to play Paranoid, by Black Sabbath. Black Hole Sun, and Spoonman by Soundgarden are both very fun to play. My favorite song to play along with is Master Of Puppets by Metallica.

Re: good songs to play to?

i've been playing for a couple months. at first just going thru a couple books to learn grooves and fills to get my limbs to act seperately. the first song I learned was Yellow by Coldplay. It's probably as easy as you're gonna get and NO FILLS! My second was Free Fallin', pretty easy with a couple easy fills. My next is Roadhouse Blues because of the triplet beat.

Re: good songs to play to?

I don't like listening to Boston, but I use them to warm up to. When I was in my young teens my aunt gave me two Boston cassettes and I use to play them through, front and back. It really helped me build chops. Just some straight Rock and Roll medium to upbeat. Some small dynamic changes through out and some syncopation every once in a while. Nothing complicated at all.
