Re: Metronome Practice Room Techniques
You can do the same sort of thing, more easily, with my just launched Bounce Metronome Pro.
You can click on any beat in the rhythm to skip or play it. You can also tap out a rhythm for the metronome to play. It can also play rhythms with swing, and it can play gradually increasing or decreasing tempi.
The range of types of rhythm and time signature it can play is practically inexhaustible including polyrhythms, unusual time signatures, additive rhythms, syncopated, cycles of rhythms and so on.
It also comes with bouncing ball visuals or baton or drum stick style 3D visuals, which help you to synchronise your beats with the metronome exactly.
You can make many of the same rhythms with a sequencer, but swing may be tricky to do, also polyrhythms are likely to be tricky with a sequencer, and it doesn't have the gravity bounce visuals. So I think you'll find it adds a new dimension. Comes with a free 30 day test drive.
It's new, launched for the first time last week. It's developed from an earlier program which though it could play a wide variety of rhythms, didn't have the gravity bounce visuals, swing, or skipped beats. All those are new.
