you may get lucky....i have a couple of old w98 games that work on xp....did you mean they dont work w/newer Hardware??the games are the software....and i dont thint rockband is a PC game....xbox,ps3...ect...

These are old DOS games. They don't even work with DOS BOX. I've been building computers since I was 21. That was when the old 8" floppies took over the punch cards. The games were designed to work with DOS 6.2.2. and some with Win95 and others get buy with Win98. Forget about WinmME, the games are quite old. I've got some spare parts laying around, I just have to dig them out of a box and start with an old P1 processor, mother board and a SoundBlaster 4750 audio/game card. An old 13" VG monitor, not VGA, VGA also not compatible for these games.

Windows, Mac, and so on are Operating systems.
Cisco, linux, DOS and so on are platforms.
