Re: sonor 2007 or gretsch catalina

I just got in touch with the Kaman Music Corp. support group, and I am waiting for their response. I'll get back to you when I get that information from the horses mouth.

Thanks for that FYI. I don't need to take my kit apart to check for myself when there are other resources that are more reliable from the manufacturer.
Time will tell.

Copied and pasted from the Gretsch site below:
Custom drums feature the original Gretsch formula 6-ply maple shell that has been applied for over 50 years. Each drum includes 30-degree bearing edges, our original Silver Sealer inner shell finish and either Nitro-cellulose lacquer or Nitron exterior finishes to give you that "Great Gretsch Sound."

But in the meantime you can read this form the Gretsch website:
Gretsch USA Custom

I really didn't expect such a quick response from the Gretsh company this fast but I'm pasting it now.

James,
Thanks for your email. if your kit is a Gretsch USA kit then it would have 30 degree edges.
Regards,
Gretsch Drums

There is a discussion going on at the drum set connect forum and I hope you can clear this up for me.
I purchased a 9 piece double bass Rosewood kit four years ago, the questioning of the 45 degree bearing edge and the 30. Which drums carry which edge. I hope you can help me with this matter.

Thanking you in advance,
James
