Newbie to the site.

Hi,

Just joined this site and hope to make some connections and get some info. Started drumming in 1967 and have owed my current set of drums new in 1979. They are Gretsch with a Natural Walnut finish. The sizes are:

22" Bass
13" Tom
14" Tom
16" Tom
14" x 6" Ludwig Black Beauty
Avedias Zildian Cymbals
20" Ride
16" Med. Crash
14" New Beat Hi-Hats

I have added over the years the following:

Remo Roto Toms 6", 8", 10".
Gretsch Chrome Blackhawk 14" x 6.5" steel snare (new)
Tama Imperialstar 14" x 6.5" Chrome steel vintage snare
Premier Chrome 14" x 6.5" steel snare (like new condition) probably 1990's version
Pearl Chrome 14" x 5.5" steel snare used in nice condition

Gibraltar Rack system.

Avedias Zildian Cymbals (1970's)
13" Splash
17" Thin Crash

Three year old K Zildian Cymbals
20" Pre-Aged Ride
16" Dark Crash Medium Thin
13" K/Z Custom Hi-Hats

****Just purchased a set of slightly used 2009 Gretsch Catalina Maple drums in Cherry Red:

- 22" bass
- 10" Tom
- 12" tom
- 14" floor tom
- 16" floor tom
- soft carry bags

I'm looking for the matching 10" and 12" toms for my 1979 Gretsch Walnut kit and the 13" matching tom for the Catalina Maple lit in Cherry Red, and a soft carry bag for the 16" tom.

Cheers,
Barry

Go use Photobucket or Flikr to post those pics. I'm the Gretsch Guru on this great forum.

Welcome to the forum!
Ahhh....
another Gretsch fan! I love gretsch.
Sounds like you have a lot of experience.
But here's the problem. I'm allergic to your drum set!
I'm allergic to all peanuts (including walnuts.)
But probably not.
Cheer's happy drumming.

As you can see Mr. mono-plane, we all treat each other as drumming siblings here at the forum.
