If you're having issues with your snare due to ringing I would not advise you buy a steel sensitone. Those things ring a lot. Wood or aluminium or brass not so much.

Good Point.
A lot of people that aren't drummers really want me to get a double pedal.
But as you said I should focus on hand techniques more.
I've been playing for 6 years and didn't have a double yet.
But if your style really is hungry for it get the Taye.
