I'v ebeen playing for years,always been interested in the electronic drums...So....I went and bought a set of SIMMONS SD7PK...AND I must say I am amzed at the ease,SOUND,and this set can actually just hooker up to the P.A...or you play with h eadphones and don't bother nearby grannies...lol..For the most part,these are fairly affordable,brandnew yo can get for 500.00...check em out..I'll gaurantee you'll like em,for practice for sure,when you leave your big kit at the practice place.I have old premiers,a combu double bass kit,with jildjns,an dlots of extras,alot to tear down..Back to the Simmons,they are not as costly as the high end yamaha,tama,roland...roland is real close to these,but a bit more...so if you're curious,take my word these are bad ass!!!About 50 pre-set sounds to pads and cymbals..many,many effect sounds,chimes,timpany,bell,cow bell,you name it it's on at the push of a button....Hope I've helped...hey if you would want a demo of these,email me and i'll send you a video clip if you need...@ kardavel1113@sbcglobal.net...put in heading,simmons demo? FORGOT TO MENTION ABOUT THE SIMMONS,I wouldn't hesitate to even play them on-stage,,they are awesome for the price and ease of transporting.Kepp the acoustic set and integrate the electros with them....how do you think Alex Van Halen plays hot fo teacher~ with a little help of electronic pads---bouncing rubber sounds just like a HARLEY!!! Rock on..JD
